Electoral Roll
Join Our Electoral Roll: Have Your Say
In the Church of England, the Electoral Roll is our official membership list—but at Holy Trinity Broadstairs, we like to think of it simply as our register of belonging.
Adding your name to the Electoral Roll is a meaningful way of saying, "This is my spiritual home, I am committed to this community, and I want to help shape its future." It is completely free to join, and it does not commit you to any specific financial giving or volunteer rota.
Why should I join?
Being on the Electoral Roll gives you a voice in how our church is run. Specifically, it allows you to:
Vote at our Annual Meeting: You gain the right to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM), where we elect our leadership and review the church's vision and finances.
Stand for Leadership: It makes you eligible to be nominated for the Parochial Church Council (PCC) or to serve as a Churchwarden.
Help us count: It gives us an accurate picture of our core community, which helps us plan our pastoral care and outreach.
Who can join?
Because we are an inclusive church, we want our Electoral Roll to truly reflect the wonderful diversity of our congregation. You can apply to join the roll if you are:
Aged 16 or older; and
Baptized; and
Either live within our parish boundaries OR have worshipped with us regularly for at least the last six months.
(Note: If you are not baptized but consider Holy Trinity Broadstaurs your home, we still deeply value your presence and input! Please speak to our Rector if you'd like to explore baptism or other ways to get involved).
How do I sign up?
It only takes a minute! Simply download and complete the short form below, and return it to the Parish Office.
